Yuri Medianik is one of the very few musician there are in the world who has artfully mastered two completely different instruments, the violin and the bayan. In his art Medianik represents the union of contrasts, of conflict and harmony as such, and that probably is the key to his music success.
Medianik first took a bayan in his hands when he was only two. He started taking violin classes at the age of eight. He was a student of the Special School of Music of the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. Then, when his family moved to Moscow, he went to the Gnessin School of Music and later became a student of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
Being only 25 years old, Medianik is the winner of a great many international awards and competitions. He's honorary member of the Kaunas Conservatory (Lithuania). Today with an impressive repertoire and widest international geography of concerts under his belt, Medianik gives recitals, eagerly participates in bands and ensembles, includingš Piazzolla Quintet, the Studio For New Music, ASM, and enjoys directorship of Emotion-orchestra and TangoTango. Yuri is Music Director of Nuestro Tango Orquesta. He is vice-president of the Alliance of Accordionists of Russia. Over the past three years Yuri Medianik has successfully released two CD's, 'Recollections of Piazzolla' and 'Images of Three Centuries', which have gained a position among the top sales of chamber music in Russia.
Georgy Levinov

Georgy Levinov was born in Tbilisi on July 19, 1980.
He started taking his violin classes since the age of six. The same year after his graduation from the Central School of Music with the Tbilisi State Conservatory (class of Nona Golovina), Georgy enrolled in the Tbilisi Conservatory in the class of professor Leo Shiukashvili. During his many years of living and studying in Tbilisi, Georgy played in the string quartet directed by the legendary educator professor Boris Chiaureli.
In 1998 Georgy Levinov moved to Moscow to enroll in the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he continued his violin studies under the guidance of professors Igor Frolov, Nadezhda Beshkina and Vladislav Igolinsky. He also attended classes in quartet and chamber ensemble given by professor Sergey Pishiugin, professor Tigran Alikhanov and by Dmitry Kaprin (senior lecturer). From 1999 till 2004 Georgy was a regular participant of master classes of Mannheim Conservatory professor Roman Nodel (Mannheim, Wannheim, Germany).
During the years of his professional evolution the young musician received the diploma of DELFIADA festival; he also became laureate of international youth competitions, including the international music competition in Kiev (Vorzel) 'The Art of the 21st Century' (2004).
From 2003 till 2005 Georgy worked as an artist of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra directed by V. Ziva. In 2005 he was invited as a guest soloist to Amirus, a Russia-U.S. chamber orchestra. From 2000 till 2003 Georgy sang with Mikhail Turetsky's Choir.
Today, Georgy Levinov performs solo and in ensembles in various concert halls in Moscow and around the country. He is frequently on concert tours to European countries (Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia) and Israel. Since 2003 he's been a guest concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra of Valencia-Gilet (Spain). In 2006 Georgy received the title of honorary professor of music of Spain (Kavrtel, province of Valencia). Currently, Georgy Levinov is the director and artist of SONORE, an ensemble of chamber music, and Creative Director of Pluri_Art International Festival.
